Remember, when you teach
someone, you are also learning from them. Not only do you refresh
your memory when you impart knowledge, questions arise that force
you to think of aspects that might not have previously occurred to
you during your own period of instruction. More to the point of your
question, however, is this: in America things are different than
they were traditionally. Permission to teach outside the school is
not a requirement here. Some teachers are pleased for their students
to teach, some are not. However, it is always good manners, if
nothing else, a matter of respect,to inform your teacher what you
are doing.
