Yes, for the time being
this is true. Because of the press of business and in order to spend
more time with my family, I have closed the school in Virginia Beach
and have left teaching for over a year now, with the exception of
some short seminars and the government school in Panyu, China where
I am committed for two years.
The teaching that I am engaged
in for the Chinese Government is a limited two-year project to train
fighters to represent China in international competition. I have
been training six underprivileged boys, and will be finished in one
more year. Because of their backgrounds, the boys started very slow.
None of them were really enthusiastic about learning to fight.
Initially, they were lazy, but now their attitude has changed
remarkably. They have seen what can be accomplished in less than a
year, and they are working harder now. They are even eager to
fight.
Steve, who is assisting me, is doing great. He and his
wife Nancy are staying at the school. During the weekend, they stay
at the apartment I rented for them in Panyu. I think they are having
a good time.
I have not seen or heard from you for a long
time. I hope you are doing well. Visit us when you have
time.
