If you are interested in learning
ground fighting, then I would suggest that you find a good bjj
school, or sambo school, or any of the other excellent ground
fighting schools around you.
Why do you want to learn wing
chun with ground fighting? As far as I know, wing chun has no ground
fighting in it. Sure, if you find someone who knows wing chun really
well, they can probably create a form of ground fighting out of wing
chun, but that would probably take years of trial and error.
What you have to realize is that wing chun was not created
for ground fighting. It was created for stand up close range
fighting and that is what wing chun fighters are excellent at.
Grapplers are good at grappling cause they spend hours rolling on
the ground. We spend hours in in close range contact, so that is our
speciality.
I would suggest that if you are interested in
grappling to find a good grappling school. If you are interested in
wing chun, then find a good wing chun school. If you are interested
in both, then study both. But just make sure that your instructors
in each art are qualified to teach
it. | |
